Some of us fall into the above situation and fail to recognize the importance of digital marketing strategies. In this writeup, I'll help you understand why having a digital marketing strategy is vital to organizational success and a little something which might help your planning!

There is a saying that goes: “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”. A digital marketing strategy creates a vision and mission that the company can work towards to. Without a coherent strategy, a company could lack the foresight to tackle future challenges and develop plans, which may lead to unattainable profits.

Potential audience demographics and characteristics from digital marketplaces would likely differ from traditional channels. A digital marketing strategy allows companies to identify and target specific audiences effectively. This results in an increased probability of higher engagement and sales conversion rates.

Imagine paying for a certain service, and eventually realizing that you exceeded your budget. Having a strategy allows for the company to be aware of the resources they currently possess and what is required for different planned marketing campaigns. They are then able to efficiently plan and allocate resources, such as funds and manpower, towards their goals.

    1. Hi James! It is quintessential for companies to be able to come up with unique ways of value creation. You can also analyze your competitor's strategies and find what they do well in and come up with strategies to differentiate yourself from the competition.

Providing some sort of value to the company your proposal is directed to will greatly increase chances of their approval!

    1. Hi there! Thanks for your comment! Personally, I think that brands can make use of digital analytics to track the success of their campaigns!

      This can be done not only after the campaign is over, but also when the campaign is running. This allows brands to make necessary tweaks and optimizations to their current campaigns!
